On April 7th, 2015 All American Containers Pacific Coast in Windsor, California was certified as a Sonoma County Green Business. All American Containers recognized the need for businesses to be more environmentally responsible, and their team worked hard to identify ways to conserve water and energy through a multitude of different means. Recycling efforts were expanded to decrease landfill waste, and delivery routes are now strategically planned to reduce fuel and carbon emissions. A sustainability policy was even developed by AAC to ensure business with vendors identified as “most sustainable” is maximized. Dishes and utensils are re-used, and water bottles are refilled from a water cooler. To further reduce their environmental impact, the company has also switched to electronic billing and relies exclusively on solar power for their energy needs. By making these calculated changes, AAC has managed to create a “green business” that will ensure a better world for generations to come.
