All American Containers chooses Kalama, Washington to expand operations and distribution of full service packaging and bottles for wine industry

Santa Rosa, CA (September 6, 2012) --- All American Containers (AAC) and Bennu Glass are two companies working together to make a positive impact locally, nationally, and globally. Bennu Glass and All American Containers (AAC) have joined forces in Kalama WA, creating a huge footprint in domestic wine bottle production while significantly reducing their carbon footprint. The Port of Kalama is now home to the 33,000 sq. ft., renovated, state- of-the-art Bennu Glass facility producing over 100 million wine bottles per year. It is also the greenest glass factory in the country, using low emission liquid oxygen and the highest technology in pollution control. Over 100 local jobs have been created as a result, with many more on the horizon.

“The Pacific Northwest has long been a part of our expansion plans and the Port of Kalama offered the perfect central location for us to better serve our customers and the growing wine industry in the Northwest,” said Stephanie Ramczyk, Business Development Manager for All American Containers’ AAC Wine’s west coast operations.

All American Containers plans to expand its food packaging and container operations to the region as well by October 1, 2012. All American Containers recognized the great opportunity to grow their west coast presence and meet the growing needs of the wine industry. With All American Containers coming into the neighborhood, the Port of Kalama will be the 'one-stop shop' for all full service packaging and wine bottle needs.

This partnership fulfills a much-needed niche within the West Coast wine industry for a high quality and affordably priced domestic glass supplier. With an unbeatable turn-around of only 1-2 months, Bennu will manufacture up to 20 different 750ml weight optimized bottle styles, and approximately 9 million cases per year. In addition, purchasing wine bottles domestically will considerably minimize the environmental impact of international transportation.

AAC comes to the Port of Kalama with a 40 year history of being one of the largest suppliers of glass, plastic and metal containers, tubes and dispensers, and plastic and metal closures in the US. The collaboration between AAC and Bennu Glass will have a threefold effect by greatly benefiting the wine business, creating US jobs, and helping to improve the environment.
